Reply #2 on : Tue June 16, 2009, 11:07:02
Saturday, June 13, 2009 - Heather Gardens an Active Adult Community in Aurora, CO hosted a "Healthy Living Expo - Going Green!" event.

The weather was beautiful - a little windy but the sky was blue and full of sunshine. A majority of the event was held outside to include the fitness walk, free breakfast, vendors, fitness demos (Laughing Yoga, Qi Gong, Fitness Ball Demo), shredding event, and electronic recycling. Inside the Community Center a gold buying event and Wii Fit Demo (sponsored by Best Buy).

Our Keynote Speaker was Daniel Asher, Executive Chef/Owner of EcoChef Services. The attendees were mesmerized by Chef Daniel as he spoke about the importance and added health benefits of using quality organic food products to fill our pantries. He prepared an amazing lundberg rice dish utilized a wonderful variety of products with ease. Delish! After talking with the attendees, many felt Daniel sent a message that was very important to hear as he shared his views of the impact we have on our sacred earth and environment. It was a pleasure working with Daniel. Looking forward to future events!
